The School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS), Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), witnessed a significant transition in its administrative leadership on Friday, 18th September 2026, as the outgoing Secretary of the School, Mr. Umar Shehu, formally handed over the affairs of the office to his successor, Sa’idu Badamasi, Esq. The handover marks an important moment in the continued administration and coordination of postgraduate activities within the University.
The transition follows Mr. Umar Shehu’s recent appointment as Registrar of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, Nasarawa State. His appointment was approved by the Governing Council of the Polytechnic at its meeting of 9th September 2026. The appointments took immediate effect. Mr. Shehu’s new role brings to a close his tenure as Secretary of the School of Postgraduate Studies, where he contributed to the administrative coordination and day-to-day activities of the School.
During the handover ceremony, Mr. Shehu formally transferred relevant documents and responsibilities of the office to Sa’idu Badamasi, Esq., signifying the commencement of a new phase of leadership at the School. The occasion brought together members of the SPGS community and provided an opportunity to acknowledge Mr. Shehu’s service while welcoming the incoming Secretary to his new responsibility.
The School of Postgraduate Studies appreciates Mr. Umar Shehu for his contributions and service to the administration of postgraduate education at NSUK and congratulates him on his appointment as Registrar of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia. The School also welcomes Sa’idu Badamasi, Esq., and looks forward to his contribution to the effective administration and continued development of postgraduate studies.
